MMM+Top Knipmode Special SS 10/101

Schon wieder MMM, ein guter Grund zu bloggen und meine fertige Miette sowie ein neues Shirt zu tragen.

Ich war faul und habe das Top nach einem alten, bereits kopierten Schnitt genäht. Das alte Top trage ich immer noch oft und gerne.

Ich hatte den Schnitt ein zweites Mal aus etwas labberigerem Jersey (ohne Lycra vermute ich) genäht, und das ist nicht mein Favorit geworden.

Heute habe ich (zwischen ersten und zweiten Fotos!) endlich die Knöpfe an meine Miette genäht und fühle mich sehr wohl darin.

Auch in letzter Zeit genäht, ohne Schnitt bzw. abgenommen von einem Kaufshirt und brutal gestückelt ist dieses hier:

Nicht so geeignet für geizig gekaufte 0,5 m, ganz im Gegenteil zu dem Kniptop, das wegen der separaten Passe bei einem halben Meter Stoff eine gute Hüftlänge hat!.

Der Rock ist auch ein alter Favorit, hier besprochen.

It's Me-Made Wednesday again, and I'm me-made all over!

I made a new top from an old pattern. The original top is still going strong after almost three years! (I also made this once in a not-so-stable knit and don't love that one.)

I also finished my Miette and even added buttons... after the first photos were taken ;-) !

And you might recognize the skirt - it's an old favorite that still gets worn a lot.

Lastly, I made a second shirt - a rub-off from an existing one. Patched together since I only had a scant half meter of fabric.

Half a meter is, interestingly, enough for the Knipmode top in a generous length since that has a separate yoke piece.

SSS Week 2/Woche II + Top Knipmode

Aaargh... Why can't I comment? I've emptied my cache or whatever you call it, I do not click "stay logged in", nothing helps. Now I'm wondering... Where do my comments go to?  Some black hole in interspace?

Das Kommentierproblem schlägt mir auf die Stimmung. Ich habe Cookies etc. gelöscht und klicke brav "nicht angemeldet bleiben", was aber keinen interessiert. Die Kommentare sind einfach weg. Oder nur anderswo?

I also made this Knipmode top again; I thought I'd taken a better photo but apparently, no.
Ich habe mich mit dem Top wiederholt; leider werden die Fotos täglich schlechter. Hm.

MMMF 4+5

Zum Wochenende gibt es heute eine Doppelvorstellung, MMMF gestern und heute.

Gestern habe ich mein Knipmode-Top und die engen Jeans ausgegraben. Das Top hat einen ähnlichen (nur viel besser sitzenden) Schnitt wie das vom Freitag, ich hatte aber leider keine Idee, wie ich den Schnitt in langärmelig umwandeln kann, und deshalb den Burda-Schnitt probiert. Ach ja, und ich hatte unterschlagen, dass ich natürlich einige Änderungen vorgenommen habe bis es so saß, wie ich am Donnerstag gezeigt habe.

Vielleicht mache ich mir noch die Mühe und überarbeite den Schnitt von Grund auf; ich werde das Ergebnis dann hier zeigen.

Yesterday's outfit: My Knipmode shirt that I wear so much I think I need to make another polka-dot top. The pattern is quite similar to Thursday's Burda shirt and a much better fit, but I wouldn't have any idea how to alter this pattern for long sleeves.

Zum Thema MMMF wollte ich auch ergänzen, dass ich diese Woche wie immer ganz brav meine selbstgenähten Ballettsachen angezogen habe. Ein Foto gibt's nicht, aber wenn es Euch interessiert - und Ihr den Post damals verpasst hattet - die Besprechung ist hier.

I also wore my me-made ballet clothes this week (as always); while I still feel a bit conspicuous in my raspberry-colored leotard that doesn't keep me from wearing it, and I must say it's holding up really well!

Heute trage ich mal Schulmädchen-Look - jetzt keine Bemerkungen über's Alter bitte :-) !! Aus Faltenröcken und Karo-Pullis werde ich wohl nie rauswachsen. Der Rock ist ein Burda-Modell, siehe hier.

Today I'm channeling my inner preppy; I might be too old for this look but I love this skirt (and argyle!) so much I'll just have to live with it.

Zum Schluss noch ein selbstgenähtes Weihnachtsgeschenk, das ich ein bisschen verspätet bekommen und deshalb dem Blog vorenthalten hatte: ein Milchkaffee-Glas-Wärmer. Süß!

Me-Made-May: Days 8, 9 and Top Knipmode

The energy I didn't expend thinking up a new outfit I spent on sewing up this little knit top:

The pattern is from Knipmode Special Spring/Summer 2010 no. 101. It's tunic (or dress) length; I sewed it as suggested and then shortened it to a length I like, about 5'' (12 cm) shorter.

As I understand it, the Knipmode Special is part of a regular Knipmode issue, only that this special issue gets translated to German and sold separately. It contains nine patterns sewed up in different lengths and fabrics and combined to form four trendy mini wardrobes. I love this reduced form that could take all the guesswork out of what to sew next; only that I could never stop buying... and considering... Burda, Ottobre and all the rest. Schizophrenic, right?
