What We're Working On / Unser aktuelles Projekt

It's that time of the year again - carnival, Mardi Gras, what have you - costume sewing!

You know I love to do this, and this year DS (9 yo) is determined to be a part of the process.

I usually make up costumes without a pattern, and I start with a sketch (previous costume sketches here and here). So, when DS said he wants to be (Saint-Exupéry's) Little Prince, I asked him to sketch the costume. Here it is:

I've been working on the coat and DS has been crafting boot shafts from black felt. Stay tuned for more!

Fortsetzung folgt!

  1. interesting. I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to get in the process too, but she's still only 18 months old. I will make her a cupid costume this year.
